Big Art, Big Impact!
Upgrading your artwork to ‘supersize’ creates a simplistic, clean and bold statement within your space. Out with visual busyness and hello focal points! There are so many different perks to going big with your art—whether you are furnishing a small studio apartment or your Victorian mansion. Big art is the perfect way to make a statement within a large home, corporate building or hotel lobby. The bigger the wall, the bigger the painting!
No need to stop at the walls, make use of the ceiling and floors to create the impact you require. See how you find inspiration in the images below.

Interior Design Trends
Interior Design trends can be unpredictable. Some come and go as quickly as they appeared while others stay around for many seasons.
Each of these six themes are shown with its corresponding colour card, inspiring materials that match the themes in colour and character. These colours will take centre stage again in 2013/14. We are looking for comfort, homeliness, warmth and consolation in our interiors.
Nature’s Evolution is influenced by sustainability and natural or artificial nature
This colour range consists of different shades of green graduating to blue. We see light lime, leaf green, light olive green, moss green, sea green, peacock, deep blue green, and night blue. These colours are often applied tone-in-tone, with light/dark contrasts. They may be combined with white, or beige.
Space, light and blance are important to the theme of Harmony and Balance
Eco-awareness and sustainability gain more and more importance. Opposites attract such as soft and hard, light and compact, round and linear, graphic and bulky. Motifs from nature are also popular, such as, Faux furs and feathers, often in black and white. We see metallic shine, but also silver and gold, pearls and mother of pearl. Transparency and lightness are important, with the warm natural feel of wood. Coarsely knitted materials, along with other natural fabrics like linen and soft cottons create texture, applied for instance to chairs or cushion covers as accessories.
Retro influences dominate the theme of Journey Through Time
Simplicity is combined with luxury. Different shades of blues prevail in this theme. We see soft orange, blush, old rose, burned orange, wine reds and soft greeens. Mostly these colours are combined with white, for a fresh effect. They can also be combined with a beige ground and a hint of black. Then the effect is more nostalgic.
Opulent colour with luxurious texture
With these luxurious materials we see an emphasis on metallics: gold, copper but also coloured metallics. Brown and Tangerine in combination with beiges and neutral tones. The play with different textures is important, from smooth surfaces to textures such as leather, wood and faux fur. Wallpaper plays a major role often with large scale patterns.
Different shades of rose prevail in the theme of Sensual and Passionate
Here, we see a range of harmonious neutral colours that fit perfectly together. White is very important. We see biscuit beige, off-white, white, soft yellow, dusty rose, soft grey blue, taupe and coconut brown. Purples becoming a new neutral staple with shades shifting from rich Indigo or plum through to a range of soft greys.
Dark brown, grey and black are used in small touches as an accent on these lighter natural colours.
Retro influences dominate the theme of Journey Through Time
A true change in colour: very bright, almost acid like neon and fluorescent colours. This range consists of a few pastel colours, and some brighter colours. They may be applied to solid objects, but they are also combined with a neutral colour such as beige, or natural wood, and white. We also see neon yellow, lime green, sweet pink, bright orange, bright pink, signal red, sweet blue and bright turquoise.
